How My Holidays went and a bit about school

 G'day guys its ya boy Jayden here  and Today I will be blogging some stuff about my holidays lets get into it.

My holidays started off with my Grandad looking after me and my 2 siblings for the 1st 2 days  and on the 3rd day we went to Flipout and had a great time. Most of the Holidays I was at the park or the dairy were I had some nummie Treats. I was also watching the rugby a lot.

One weekend we got to go down to lyttleton and go on a boat to diamond Harbour  while we were at diamond harbour we stopped and had a meal at a resteraunt and had a we play at a rugny field and returned at 2:00pm 

Also at this first week of school we have been getting stuck into our films in literacy my group has pretty much finished our script.

Final week of term 3!

G'day guys its ya old mate Jayden here and today I will be telling you guys about everything I have been up to in this final week of term 3.

For Numeracy we have doing a bit of stuff on time and we also got to build a famous tower in minecraft. This wasn't to hard but it was really fun.

For Literacy we have been doing our video essays and I managed to finish mine and hand it in I will show you the video down below. Then on minecraft we had to make a scene from a movie I did a scene from the bee movie.

For Inquiry we have been finishing our rocket videos and we also got to make rockets with our parents and fly them which was fun my family's Rocket went 47m which was the 2nd farthest.

New Zealand Sign Language week task!

 G'day Guys its ya old mate Jayden here today I will be blogging Stuff about Sign Language Since it is New Zealand Sign Language Week So lets get into it.

So we had to go on this website called Sign Ninja were we had to complete a series of challenges involving Sign language In the end I managed to get the yellow belt it took about an hour to get it though.

We also had to film a video of us spelling our name in sign language this tasks wasn't to difficult because I only had to remember 6 letters but it was still hard in a way.

For Numeracy we have been learning a bit about time and we also had the chance to go onto minecraft and build some clocks I will show you an image of the clocks this wasn't to hard.

For Literacy we have been working on our video essays now i have finished my script an I have gathered some clips for it and now I am putting it all together It is coming along slowly but I reckon I can get it done by next week. 

For Inquiry we have been busy doing our final launch with our rockets unfortunatley my rocket went strait down and we have also been working on our video we have finished filming and now we are putting it together.

For Inquiy we have been building Rockets and flying them with a proper kit me and my group did to launches our first one did really well and went strait up and our second one just went strait down.

For Literacy we have been studying more movie genres we have been learning about Film Noir and we had to do heaps of tasks around the genre I found this kind of difficult because I had never heard of Film Noir.

For Numeracy we have been learning about number patterns we had to make a presentation on solving a problem more about that in my previous post I found this kind of easy.

We have also been learning a bit about space we had to do a bunch of task on it.

Week 10 Blogpost

So for math we have been working on Volume and all that we have been doing heaps of different tasks on that like making a math question more on that down in my previous post.

For Literacy we have been working on the Horror Genre a bit more we have been making posters and intros about a classic horror film.

For Inquiry we have been starting our Global Issues art my idea for mine is I'm going to draw a family eating a full course meal and then on the other side of the image will be a homeless man Starving for some food.

Samoan Siapo design!

G'day Guys Its ya boy Jayden here with another blog post today I'm blogging my Samoan Siapo design. One of the oldest and most important traditions in Samoa is the art of Siapo. Siapo Is a type of art made from a cloth. For our Siapo designs we had to come up with 4 different designs and we had to chose 1. Once we had chosen our design we had to fold a peice of paper into quarters and then draw our chosen design on it then trace it on the window. Then we had to colour it in with pastells and finally we had to dye the background and then we were done. Thanks for Reading!

Week 8 Blogpost

G'day guys its ya boy Jayden here back with another blog post today I'm blogging everything I have been up to this week lets get started.

So in numeracy we have been working on a bit of number work we have been doing these things called bricks, bricks are a selection of math problems I have already finished one and i'm half way through my second.

In literacy we have been continuing our website on the Wizard of Oz and I'm pretty much done all I have to do is right a conclusion and re-read the entire thing I will leave a link to it down below

For Inquiry we have been continuing Global issues but we have also done a few things on all the different types of Irony such as Dramatic Irony, Verbal Irony and Situational Irony. We had to make comics which relate to one of these different types of Irony.

We also got to make Koru art more on that at my other post.

Week 7 Blogpost!

G'day guys its ya boy Jayden here with another blog post today once again I'm blogging everything I have been up to this week.

So in literacy we have been continuing our websites at the moment I am half way through mine  I'm hoping that it will turn out great!

In numeracy we have been learning a little bit about symetry we have been working hard on this aswell I haven't been struggling on this that much so I think i'm good at this.

 In Inquiry we have started focusing on Global Issues such as Racism, War, Hunger, water and Sanitation and much more I have chosen to focus on hunger because I like food and I wouldn't like other people to starve.

We have also been making Koru art we started by sketching it out going over it in vivid then colouring it in in pastel then dying the background we are now going to start making korus carvings hopefully i will get that done as fast as the last one I would add a photo of it but the teachers still haven't added mine to the drive.

Isametric math

G'day guys its ya boy Jayden here with another blog post today I'm blogging my math work were I had to make a 3D shape out of blocks and then draw them on isometric paper we chose to make a square shaped object we chose this shape because we thought it would be easy to make but also a little bit difficult. Back at School!

G'day guy its ya boy Jayden here with another blog post and this week I am actually back at school! Let me explain how this week has been.

For maths we have been learning about, plan, Front, Side we have had some Isometric paper and we have been making 3D shapes on them. I found it alright it wasn't hard but it also wasn't easy.

In Literacy we have been making websites instead of essays due to lockdown about the Wizard of Oz we have to list all the characters, Themes and Symbols I am still working on this but I will put a link down below to it!

For Inquiry we have been making a time capsule for the children of 2060 we have been letting them know what it is like to be part of Covid-19.

Week 5 Blogpost!

G'day guys its ya boy Jayden here with another blog post today once again I'm blogging everything that I have been up to this week from literacy, numeracy and my regular everyday life!

So in literacy we have been continuing on the Wizard of Oz, on monday we got to watch the movie and incase you didn't know the movie and the book are actually quite different. Most of my literacy task have been based around the differences between the book and the movie.

In numeracy we have been focusing on a lot of different measuring stuff. We got to make treasure maps, 3D shapes and a whole lot more stuff. In my treasure hunt I got my siblings to go around the house looking for my sisters stuffed horse Brian. They ended up finding him in my Mum and Dads wardrobe. I will show you what the treasure map looked like.

In my regular life It has been pretty sweet we have now moved to level 2 and I'm going to get to ditch distance learning which I'm excited about so I can see all my mates. I have also made a few sausage rolls this week I have found out that they taste slightly better if you dip them in tomato sauce. But the highlight of the week has to be actually leaving the house for once I have been trapped inside this house for way to long and when my mum said she was taking us to the mall I was happy to get out of here for once.

Week 4 Blogpost!

G'day guys its ya boy Jayden here with another blogpost today I'm bloging everything I have been up to this week!

So for Literacy we have been focusing on the themes of the book Wizard of Oz Such as Disappointment, Friendship, good vs Evil and Dreams. I also finished the book!

In Numeracy we have been looking at area. On my first day We had to find the area of our backyard and a whole bunch of other stuff and for the other tasks we were focusing on finding the area in triangles.

For tech I have been a bit busy I have been busy turning a Tie dye T-Shirt into a Tie dye cushion I actually finished that I was having trouble hand sewing for the first time but I got it done because I didn't have any stuffing to stuff it with i used some old towels. I will put a before and after on what it looks like.

In regular life It has been pretty sweet yesterday I heard we might be going to level 2 soon which I'm happy about we haven't had any cases of Covid lately that I know of but the best news of the week is drum roll please.... My mum bought me macas LETS GO!

Week 3 Blog Post!!

G'day guys what is Going on It is ya boy Jayden here with another blog post Today I'm blogging EVERYTHING I have been up to this week.

So in math we have started learning about perimeter our first task was to measure the perimeter of objects in our house and then the next day we had to measure the perimeter of our ENTIRE house and that one activity nearly broke my dads 8m measuring tape.

In Literacy we have been continuing our Wizard of Oz Subject. In the book Wizard of Oz I have 2 chapters then i'm done. we have also been focusing on the theme's perseverance and Home in the book. I have also been able to make my dream Oz on minecraft it has been kind of hard and I used a couple of Tik tok hacks to help me. Soon I will do a blog post on it but unfortunatley I'm not quite done yet.

At home I have been busy going for walks eating and playing in my back yard. Now that were in level 3 I have been Craving some Macas but my Mum says that we are not getting any macas because its "unhealthy for you". 

Today I started doing my tech from home I am busy turning a tie dye T shirt into a cushion for sewing at the moment it kind of looks like a tie dye singlet.

G'day guy's its ya boy Jayden here I couldn't think of anything to blog today so i'm Just gonna have a we chat we basically do this every once in a while. So Isolation Is getting a bit boring lately but now that school is on again it is a bit crazy because my parents say that I don't understand my work but I do know the work they don't. Today is actually my Mum's birthday so I would just like to quickly say happy birthday to her. Term 2 in isolation

G'day guys its ya boy Jayden here with another blog post. Today I'm just gonna talk about what i've been up to the past few weeks and talk about what is going on at school at the moment. So lately I haven't been up to much I've been going out for either a Bike ride or a walk eveyday since my last post and I have been keeping fit in my backyard Doing pull ups on my swingset. So today I have Started school again but i'm still in isolation. At my school at 9:00 we go onto google meets and we have a bit of a group chat and our teachers let us know what we do and then we do it. Isolation Challenges No. 3 Documentry series

G'day guys Its ya boy Jayden here with another blogpost today I'm going to talk about a documentry series which I watched This was David Attenborough's Seven Worlds, One Planet, season 1, episode 5. This episode was about europe. I got to learn about a whole heap of animals such as bears, Ox's, Wolves, Monkeys, Lynx's, etc. Here are some of the things I learned! Baby bears can climb trees very well, Ox's Scrape there feet on the ground to tell there family to get away because somebody is coming and I also learned that Deer's can run faster than Wolves, Lynx's are the most rare specsies of cats in the world, Pelicans are REALLY ugly and many more. Isolation Talk

G'day guys Its ya boy Jayden here with another blogpost today I'm Just going to talk about how isolation has been going so far It has been alright so far The first day I was really missing my friends and I wasn't really doing much. The next day We got some really good weather and I started to keep myself fit in my back yard doing laps around the yard and doing pull ups on my swingset. This Morning My Family decided to do a workout class in our garage we were doing a variety of workouts such as Squats, Lunges, Jump Squats, Burpees, etc. Today I also plan to do more athletic things and tomorrow I plan on going for a run. Isolation Challenges No.1 Cathing and throwing a tennis ball

G'day Guys Its ya boy Jayden here and Today I'm blogging something a little different So Most of the people reading this will probably be in Isolation Because of The Coronavirus Well I'm in Isolation and My teachers from My school have given us challenges To complete while in isolation I will be posting These often But I decided to start off with something a little different. One of the options on what we could do was Video Myself Throwing a tennis ball in the air and catching it in a row Unfortunatley I did not have a Tennis Ball So I used a Really Small Rugby ball made out of Foam. I thought I would give it a go To see how much catches I could get in a row But then I thought  what if after every 50 throws I could make it harder for Me So I did after my First 50 were normal But the next 50 I had to throw the ball a certain Height and then the next 50 i had to throw it with one hand and catch it with two and For the next fifty I had to only use 1 hand and that is were I dropped the ball at 156 catches. This is my first blog post of 2020 HAPPY NEW YEAR, I know its febuary but this is still a special moment for me. Anyway We had to do stupid portraits about ourselves and if i could be honest mine doesn't look that good.

These were inspired by an artist called Romero Britto who is a very colourful artist.  Here is my picture! (  sorry its on an angle look at it from another angle) as You can see it has my love for rugby,water skiing,food, gaming, family and friends.
